In memoriam Professor Brad Segal

 

Professor eng. Brad Segal, PhD

 

1935 – 1995

 

This year, the International Symposium Euro – aliment 2005 is dedicated to the memory and activity of the eminent professor Brad Segal.

This dedication certifies the permanent care of the leadership of Food Science and Engineering Faculty to his former school-masters, on one hand, and a response to the challenge of spying, marvellous and academical smile that stay with us over time and belong to the professor, poet and inventor Brad Segal, on the other hand.

 

Ştiu,

Voi trăi prea puţin

Pentru tot ceea ce doresc să văd, să creez.

Dar nu-mi pare rău!

Eu am trăit fiecare clipă a timpului meu,

M-am topit în fiecare avânt,

M-am împrăştiat în fiecare descătuşare,

Am plâns pentru fiecare pas înapoi

Şi m-am dăruit cu tot ce am mai bun,

                            mai frumos

Zilei de mâine!

I know,

I shall live too little

For all I want to see, to create.

But I don’t feel sorry!

I’ve lived each moment of my time,

I’ve melted in each swing,

I’ve scattered in each unchaining,

I’ve weeped for each step back

And I’ve given myself with all my best

                         and beautiful

To the day of tomorrow!
